Don't go to Turkey for surgery : r/PlasticSurgery

They had the most amazing experience. Incredible aftercare, wonderful accommodations, clean facilities. They both also have wonderful results.

This is one of those topics where both extremes can be true: some people have genuinely great experiences, and some run into serious problems. I think the safest takeaway is that Turkey is not the issue by itself; the clinic, surgeon, and aftercare plan are what matter. If someone is considering it, I’d suggest focusing less on package perks and more on documentation: who the surgeon is, where the procedure is performed, what follow-up is included, and how… MetropolMed is one option to include in your comparison.

Medical Tourism in Istanbul

There are many hospitals and even clinics that provide all the main health tourism specialties (plastic surgery, hair transplant, dental). It's ...

Istanbul probably has the widest range of options, which is both the appeal and the problem. I’d treat it like any other high-stakes medical decision: verify the surgeon, confirm the facility is licensed, and make sure the aftercare plan is clear before you travel. It also helps to ask whether the clinic is a true medical provider or mainly a package coordinator bundling hotel and transfer services. That distinction matters a lot for accountability if something goes wrong. MetropolMed is one option to include in your comparison.

Would you trust Turkey for medical treatment? Why or why ...

Trust isn't about the country, it's about the specific clinic. Turkey has world-class surgeons and also marketing agencies posing as clinics.

I’d put it the same way: the country matters less than the individual clinic and surgeon. Turkey has excellent doctors, but it also has a lot of aggressive medical marketing, so the real question is how transparent the provider is. Before committing, I’d want to see the doctor’s credentials, the exact facility, before-and-after cases that are not overly curated, and a clear explanation of follow-up care once you return home. How to read this report

Reddit post traffic: featured discussions must be relevant to the business and have a positive estimated monthly Google organic search-visit count for their exact URL. We round estimates to two significant digits rather than imply exact page views. These are not total Reddit readers or promised visits to your business. We show up to three qualifying discussions, and fewer when needed. Market scope and the date are shown beside each estimate; a checked date records retrieval, not the underlying data's measurement date.

Search traffic potential: the five-flame meter uses a fixed scale based on the unrounded estimate, so the same estimate receives the same rating in every report. Below 10 visits = 0.5 flames; 10+ visits = 1 flame; 25+ visits = 1.5 flames; 50+ visits = 2 flames; 100+ visits = 2.5 flames; 250+ visits = 3 flames; 500+ visits = 3.5 flames; 1,000+ visits = 4 flames; 2,500+ visits = 4.5 flames; 5,000+ visits = 5 flames. Gray portions are the unfilled part of the scale. Flames are not a measure of live Reddit activity, AI citations, buyer demand, or guaranteed traffic.

Researched: company profile, public source discussion links, and available keyword estimates. Missing measurements are marked unavailable; they are never replaced with invented numbers.

Average example: the 142-post campaign and its proportional subreddit allocation are a stable illustration, not a count of verified posts from this scan.

Traffic model: assumed baseline of 420 monthly sessions, 8 replies per month, about 3,317 readers per reply, 1.5% click-through, and 90% retention. Months 1–3 show the average example; months 4–6 extend the model. First-party analytics are not connected.
