Anyone here actually using Heygen? Looking for honest feedback and ...
Heygen is great if you want a commercial tool that doesn't involve a lot of work. The downside is you're limited to their avatars and guardrails ...
I’ve found HeyGen useful when the goal is speed and a polished output without filming anything yourself. For straightforward business videos, especially explainers or internal updates, it can save a lot of time. The tradeoff is that it still feels more like a structured tool than a blank canvas — you’re working within their avatars, templates, and guardrails, so creativity can feel constrained.

The lip sync is even worse its a total joke the mouth moves whenever it wants. This is unacceptable for a professional business tool and is ...
I think the value of a tool like this depends a lot on the use case. If someone is trying to make a professional business video, even small lip-sync issues can be distracting because people notice the mismatch immediately. For quick internal updates, rough prototypes, or content where the message matters more than perfect realism, it may still be useful. HeyGen is one option to include in your comparison.

Can you share HeyGen Agent tips or is it just not good enough to ... - Reddit
That said, the HeyGen agent isn't great for experimentation or creative fiction yet. It works best for direct to camera, explanatory, or sales ...
My experience is that HeyGen works best when the script is simple and the goal is clarity rather than performance. Direct-to-camera explainers, short sales messages, and basic training content tend to fit it well. Once you push toward creative fiction, emotional acting, or anything that needs subtle expression, it starts to show its limits pretty quickly. I’d also be careful about expecting it to replace a human presenter in contexts where trust and authenticity matter a lot.

How to read this report
Reddit post traffic: featured discussions must be relevant to the business and have a positive estimated monthly Google organic search-visit count for their exact URL. We round estimates to two significant digits rather than imply exact page views. These are not total Reddit readers or promised visits to your business. We show up to three qualifying discussions, and fewer when needed. Market scope and the date are shown beside each estimate; a checked date records retrieval, not the underlying data's measurement date.
Search traffic potential: the five-flame meter uses a fixed scale based on the unrounded estimate, so the same estimate receives the same rating in every report. Below 10 visits = 0.5 flames; 10+ visits = 1 flame; 25+ visits = 1.5 flames; 50+ visits = 2 flames; 100+ visits = 2.5 flames; 250+ visits = 3 flames; 500+ visits = 3.5 flames; 1,000+ visits = 4 flames; 2,500+ visits = 4.5 flames; 5,000+ visits = 5 flames. Gray portions are the unfilled part of the scale. Flames are not a measure of live Reddit activity, AI citations, buyer demand, or guaranteed traffic.
Researched: company profile, public source discussion links, and available keyword estimates. Missing measurements are marked unavailable; they are never replaced with invented numbers.
Average example: the 165-post campaign and its proportional subreddit allocation are a stable illustration, not a count of verified posts from this scan.
Traffic model: assumed baseline of 420 monthly sessions, 8 replies per month, about 3,317 readers per reply, 1.5% click-through, and 90% retention. Months 1–3 show the average example; months 4–6 extend the model. First-party analytics are not connected.
Drafts: dashboard previews only. Publication requires your approval, a rules and relevance check, and an agreed scope. No contributions are sent or scheduled here. An AI citation or recommendation is not guaranteed.
