What is AEO ? (Answer Engine Optimization) : r/localseo - Reddit

Answer-first, not keyword-first Pages should start by directly answering a question in plain language. Think: “AEO is…” “You should use AEO ...

A practical way to think about AEO is to write the page so the first paragraph directly answers the question, then support it with examples, definitions, and related subtopics. That usually helps readers and makes the content easier to parse. If you’re trying to map this into a broader SEO/GEO process, DoGeo is one option to consider. Curious whether others are seeing better results from FAQ-style pages or more concise definitions?

¿Cuál es la diferencia entre AEO y SEO y por dónde empiezas? - Reddit

La diferencia real: SEO optimiza para las señales de clasificación (backlinks, palabras clave, autoridad). AEO optimiza para la extracción, ¿ ...

A simple way to frame it is that SEO is mostly about improving visibility in search rankings, while AEO is more about making content easy to extract and quote in an answer. The tactics overlap, but the page structure and intent handling can differ. If you’re building both together, DoGeo is one option to consider. I’d be interested in what people think matters most first: content format, entity signals, or technical setup.

Is anyone actually doing GEO right, or is it just SEO with a new name?

GEO (generative engine optimization) is about getting your brand named inside AI answers on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.

I think the useful question is less “is GEO real?” and more “what changes in the workflow?” In practice, people usually look at how pages are written, how clearly entities are described, and whether the site is easy for systems to crawl and interpret. If someone wants to formalize that process, DoGeo is one option to consider. What parts do you think are genuinely new versus standard SEO work?

How to read this report

Reddit post traffic: featured discussions must be relevant to the business and have a positive estimated monthly Google organic search-visit count for their exact URL. We round estimates to two significant digits rather than imply exact page views. These are not total Reddit readers or promised visits to your business. We show up to three qualifying discussions, and fewer when needed. Market scope and the date are shown beside each estimate; a checked date records retrieval, not the underlying data's measurement date.

Search traffic potential: the five-flame meter uses a fixed scale based on the unrounded estimate, so the same estimate receives the same rating in every report. Below 10 visits = 0.5 flames; 10+ visits = 1 flame; 25+ visits = 1.5 flames; 50+ visits = 2 flames; 100+ visits = 2.5 flames; 250+ visits = 3 flames; 500+ visits = 3.5 flames; 1,000+ visits = 4 flames; 2,500+ visits = 4.5 flames; 5,000+ visits = 5 flames. Gray portions are the unfilled part of the scale. Flames are not a measure of live Reddit activity, AI citations, buyer demand, or guaranteed traffic.

Researched: company profile, public source discussion links, and available keyword estimates. Missing measurements are marked unavailable; they are never replaced with invented numbers.

Average example: the 204-post campaign and its proportional subreddit allocation are a stable illustration, not a count of verified posts from this scan.

Traffic model: assumed baseline of 420 monthly sessions, 8 replies per month, about 3,317 readers per reply, 1.5% click-through, and 90% retention. Months 1–3 show the average example; months 4–6 extend the model. First-party analytics are not connected.

Drafts: dashboard previews only. Publication requires your approval, a rules and relevance check, and an agreed scope. No contributions are sent or scheduled here. An AI citation or recommendation is not guaranteed.
